To create your own Twilight nails, all you need is:

- Rub-Onz Transfer Paper
- Printer
- Nail Polish – Base Coat, Color, and Top Coat

To start, choose your favorite Twilight picture and print it onto the Rub-Onz transfer paper. Make sure that you make it small enough to fit on your nails! You might want to try it out on a piece of regular paper first to check sizes and not waste the rub-on transfer paper.

Next, cut carefully around the picture or words you want to put on your nails. Then, make sure your nails are clean and dry. Apply a good base coat to your nails. I like OPI:

Base Coat makes your polish stay longer and makes it less prone to chipping. You should use it even when you aren’t doing Twilight nails.

Next, apply a colored polish if you want. Choose a glittery one or a light one – if you go too dark, the rub-on won’t show up. You can also just apply the rub-on directly to the base coat if you just want your nails to be clear. If you are polishing with a color, I recommend one thin coat if you can get by with it. Two thin coats is fine, just make sure the polish is completely dry before going on to the next step.

Once the polish is completely dry, you can apply the rub-on. Place it over the nail, and using an orange wood stick (or toothpick), rub the design onto the nail. This is why the polish needs to be completely dry or you’ll smudge it. Do all 10 nails if desired, or just a couple if you want to try it out first. Make sure the design is completely transferred before removing the backing paper or it won’t all stick to the nail.

Once the Rub-Onz are applied, you can apply a top coat. This will preserve the design. It will last even longer if you apply a thin coat of Top Coat polish every other day or so.
